She was predeceased by : her parents, Luther H. Melton and Tennie McDaniel Melton; her former life partner Warren A. Bagur of New Orleans; her siblings, Aaron Melton, Carolyn Melton, Ernest Melton and James Melton; and her sisters-in-law, Angie Melton, Patsy Melton and Grace Melton.

She is survived by : her children, Albert W. Bagur of Rockwall and Barbara B. Morris of Zachary, Louisiana.; her brother Leonard Melton; and her grandchildren, Michele Pakulski (Jakub), Dr. Chad Morris (Ashley), Regan Foster (Sterling) and Lauren Jackson (Cody). She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

“I was so very sorry to learn last week about the passing of Syble, and Rhonda and I extend our condolences to the family. But what a legacy she leaves!! I will always remember her sweet smile and bright personality that would light up any group she was in. She was a lady of strong character, much like her mother.
