With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Emilie Fortenberry of Winnsboro, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 8, 2025 at the age of 83. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Emmett Crawford and Ella B Crawford; her husband Charles Edward Fortenberry; her grandson Colby Joe Fortenberry; and her sister Ann Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Lamona Bertolino (Richard) of Pollock, LA and Daryl Shawn Fortenbery (Joi) of Delhi, LA; her sister Joan Gilbteath of Bastrop, LA; her grandchildren, Amanda Walker (Todd) of West, Ethan Bertolino of Pollock, LA, Emily Fortenberry of Delhi, LA, Jacob Fortenberry of Delhi, LA and Katy Fortenberry; and her great grandchildren, Payton Hukill (Jarrett) of Lake Charles, LA, Ashton Walker of West Monroe, LA, Lori Bertolino of Pollock, LA, Tristan Bertolino of Pollock, LA, Falicitie Fortenberry of Delhi, LA, Kaylen Swoveland of Vidalia, LA and Scarlett Claire Calloway. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, Cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the New Zion Baptist Church (1271 New Zion Rd, Winnsboro, LA 71295). A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
