He was predeceased by: his brother Prakash; and his brother-in-law Diwakar Malpekar. He is survived by: his wife Vinita Vijay Shertukde; his daughter Aradhana Sonali Carlson; his son-in-law Lee Edward Carlson; his grandchildren, Jack Arun Carlson and Makenzie Kiran Carlson; his son Omkar Vijay Shertukde; his sister Veena Malpekar; his nephew Amol Malpekar (Bhoomika); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Anvita and Inika; his niece Swati Tol (Rajesh); his sister-in-law Chitra Shertukde; and also, Tanisha, Sunila Karir (Anand) and Kiara.
