He was predeceased by: his son John Kendall Jr.; his brothers, William Kendall Jr., Leonard Kendall Sr. and Robert "Rutch" Kendall; and his parents, William Sr. Kendall and Laonie Kendall (King).

He is survived by: his wife Patricia E. Kendall (Morrison); his son Kevin Kendall (Lisa) of Townsend; his granddaughters, Jessica Croteau (Joey), Rachel and Melanie Kendall; and his brother Richard Kendall of Boxborough. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
