He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph P. Trainor and Helen Trainor (Pratti). He is survived by: his wife Nancy A. Trainor (Quist); his children, Richard Trainor Jr., Sean Trainor, Robbie Trainor and Kristen Radbill; his granddaughter Emily Trainor; and his siblings, Joseph, James Trainor, Diane Kilgarriff and Shirley Gillen. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Nashoba Nursing Service and Hospice, 3 Patterson Road, Suite 3, Shirley, MA 01464.
