George F. Berz Sr. Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George F. Berz Sr. (Westfield, Massachusetts), who passed away on May 31, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael A. Berz and Wilhelmina M. Berz (Schlemmer); and his siblings, John M., Michael A., Joseph M., Agnes and Barbara.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine Berz (Guay); his children, George F. Berz, II of West Springfield, William M. Berz of Florida and Kimberly A. Berz of West Springfield; and his grandson Elliott B. Berz of West Springfield.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Firtion Adams Funeral Home (76 Broad St, Westfield, MA 01085). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery (1390 Main St, Agawam, MA 01001).
In lieu of flowers, donations in George's name may be directed to the Veterans Home of Holyoke, 110 Cherry St. Holyoke, MA 01040 where he received exceptional care in the final months of his life.
