He was predeceased by: his sibling Clare McHugh (Richard); and his brothers-in-law, John and Edward Irwin. He is survived by: his children, Leo and Alice Connelly (Collins); his wife Joan C. Connelly (Irwin); his children, Robert L. Connelly Jr. of Boston, Julie Rose (Matthew) of Manhattan, NY, Lisa Papineau of Wilmington and Michelle Lamacchia (Russell) of Worcester; his grandchildren, Emma, Samantha, Shane, Ryan, Patrick, Kenzie, Leo and Josie; his siblings, Alice Bessette (Robert), William Connelly (Marie), Leo Connelly (Barbara), Joseph Connelly (Nancy) and Mary MacDonald (Michael); and his sister-in-law Mary Norton (James). He is also survived by his grandchildren, children, siblings, nieces and nephews.
