He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Thomas O'Shaughnessy and Dorothy (Flynn); his wife Mary (Dacey); his sons, Jay O'Shaughnessy (Alissa) of Lexington, MA, Michael O'Shaughnessy (Lauren) of Holliston, MA and Jeffrey O'Shaughnessy of Plymouth, NH.; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Adam, Brendan, Julia, Ella, April and Reggie; and his sister Judy Spellissey (Gary) of Chelmsford, MA.. He was also cherished by his family, friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Keefe Funeral Home - Arlington (5 Chestnut St, Arlington, MA 02474). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Saint Agnes Church (32 Medford St, Arlington, MA 02474).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Irwin Cohen Coaching Fund on behalf of Northeastern University Track and Field.
