He was predeceased by: his wife Gertrude C. "Gert" Gillies (Smith); and his parents, Victor Gillies and Florence Gillies (Desautels). He is survived by: his children, James Gillies (Tammie) of Auburn and Suzanne Gillies of Auburn; his grandchildren, Bethany McIntosh of Auburn, Rachel Gillies of Glastonbury, CT and Adam Gillies of Auburn; and his great grandchild Dimitri McIntosh of Auburn.
