It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael J. McCarthy (Auburn, Massachusetts), born in Twickenham, England, who passed away on November 30, 2019, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger J. McCarthy and Anne P. McCarthy (Stokes); and his sisters, Maureen Fitman (Donald) and Ann Burkhardt. He is survived by: his wife Mary F. McCarthy (Tirella); his children, Kerry Durward (Robert) of Dudley and Sean McCarthy; his siblings, Roger McCarthy (Marilyn) of Worcester, Sean McCarthy of Henderson, NV and Eileen McCarthy Gosselin (John) of Northbridge; his brother-in-law John W. Burkhardt of Boylston; and his grandchildren, Conor of Dudley, Bridget Durward of Dudley, Caili of Hollywood, MD, Meghan of Hollywood, MD and Molly McCarthy of Hollywood, MD. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
