He was predeceased by : his wife Nancy J. Copeland (Brote); his siblings, Ronald Copeland and Martha Flood; and his parents, Gordon Copeland and Gladys Copeland (Lier).

He is survived by : his children, Mark S. Copeland (Betty) of Millbury, Neil B. Copeland (Lori-Ann) of Auburn, Cathy L. Usher (Daniel) of Randolph, ME and Tammie L. Copeland of Auburn; his grandchildren, Ian Copeland (Elizabeth) of Millbury and Casey Avalos (Marco) of Auburn; his stepgrandchildren, Amanda, Grace and Daniel, Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Cayden Copeland and Marisol Avalos. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
