He was predeceased by : his parents, John Fulton Sr. and Grace Sargent Fulton; his former life partner Jean McLaughlin; and his sisters, Barbara Scott and Doti Ellis.

He is survived by : his wife Michelle of Billerica; his children, Lynne Politis (George) of Dracut, Melanie Lanzo (Sal) of Georgetown, Douglas Burke (Lori) of Andover, Scott Fulton (Allison) of Georgetown, Kaitlin Fulton of Daytona Beach and Jacob Fulton of Charlottesville, Virginia.; his siblings, Elaine Paquet of Donalsonville, Georgia, Shirley McGeachey of Saco, Patricia Corbeil (Ron) of Lyman, William Fulton (Cathi) of Orlando and Robert Fulton (Nancy) of Hardeeville; his sister-in-law Laura Madi of Billerica; and his sons, Keith Fulton and James "Rusty" Burke. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
