He was predeceased by: his parents, Francisco Lopes and Maria Duarte (Bella). He is survived by: his wife Diana H. Duarte (DaSilva); his children, Stephen M. Hansen of Florida, Darlene Rizza (David) of Braintree, Daron Duarte of Carver and Daniel Duarte of Braintree; and his sister Ana Amador of Dorchester. He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
