He was predeceased by: his spouse Jaqueline Grondin (Hallisey); his son George L. Grondin, Jr.; and his sister Irene Bevacqua. He is survived by: his children, Anne Cavanaugh (Michael) of Norton, Thomas Grondin (Cindy) of East Bridgewater, Jeannette Hasapidis (William) of Medfield and Cheryl LaBlue (David) of Raynham; and his siblings, Rita Bullington, Joan Grondin, Carol Breadmore, Henry Grondin, Frank Grondin, Norman Grondin, Donald Grondin, Richard Grondin, Albert Grondin and Joseph Grondin. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
