It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys Barnes of Braintree, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 21, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She is survived by: her children, William H. Barnes, Jr. (Cynthia) of Marlton, NJ, Keith R. Barnes (Deborah) of Braintree, MA and Susan J. Shaw (David) of Mountain Lakes, NJ; her sisters, Irene K. Zibell of Merrimac, MA and Shirley Pearson of Quincy, MA.; and her friend Dorothy McGarity. She is also survived by her 2 great-grandchildren.
Many such items were donated to church fairs, the residents of The Grove and her most beloved charity, Project Linus of The Greater Boston Area – which gifts homemade blankets to hospitalized children.
