He is survived by: his parents, William Ernest Simms of St. Johns and Newfoundland Pentz; his wife Jean; his children, David (Maureen), Paul (Cindy), William (Patti) and Nathan (Patty); and also, Ruby Luella Pentz of Shelburne and Nova Scotia. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
