It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joao Teixeira of Braintree, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 11, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrudes Maria Fidalgo and Egidio DaLuz Teixeira; and his siblings, Amelia "Kuma" Dias, Manuel "Nene" DaLuz Teixeira, Maria Julia "Tajulia" Cardoso, Jacinto Fidalgo, Maria Ilda Fidalgo Barros of Pina, Americo "Bedjo" Fidalgo, Quilda Fidalgo Barros, Ana "Olinda" Fidalgo Rosa and Silvina Fidalgo.
He is survived by: his brother Joaquim "Djoca" DaLuz Teixeira of Braintree, MA.; his wife Bella Teixeira; his son John Teixeira; his daughter-in-law Julene Teixeira; his grandchild Julohn; his daughter Filomena Gomes Rodrigues; his sister-in-law Maria Teixeira; and his children, Tio Djodje and Jorge. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
