With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald McGovern Sr. (Brighton, Massachusetts), who passed away on September 29, 2019 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mary T. McGovern (Mayo); his parents, Thomas McGovern and Mary McGovern of Brighton; his brother Charles McGovern; and his son Gerald Francis Jr..
He is survived by: his siblings, Robert McGovern of Jamaica Plain, Eileen Stracuzzi and Mae Toomey; his children, Thomas (Deb) of Allston, Linda Ferrari of Brighton, Marie Cousineau of Brighton, Jean Wilson (Stephen) of West Roxbury, Michael (Kathy), Yarmouth and Carole (Daniel) of Weymouth; and his pet Chesty. He is also survived by grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews.
