It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nora Alvelo (Brighton, Massachusetts), who passed away on February 28, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her children, Nubia Harding (Errol) of Allston, Maria Puerta (Ronaldo) of Brighton, Rosa Puerta (Jose) of Brighton and Ervin Romero (Jennie) of Georgia; her brothers, Francisco Casaya of Cambridge and Orlando Casaya of Nicaragua; and her grandchildren, Claudia, Enid, Tracy, Jaaziel, Ronald, Jose, Jr., Jason, Elizabeth and Christina. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
