He was predeceased by: his sister Shirley Hapner. He is survived by: his granddaughter Mattie Rose; his wife Sandra Freeman (Goldstone); his daughters, Lori Cuomo (Peter) and Allison MacDonald (John); and his granddaughters, Juliana Cuomo, Kylie Cuomo, Alexa Cuomo, Mattie Rose Cuomo, Jessica MacDonald and Danielle MacDonald.
