It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Amelia Pires Barbosa (Brockton, Massachusetts), who passed away on April 29, 2018, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her spouse Adriano Barbosa; her parent Clara Pires; her children, Clarinda Carvalho, Armanda Barbosa, Maria Agusto Barbosa, Anita Barbosa, Sonya Barbosa, Conceicao Rosa, Adriano G. Barbosa and Manuel S. Barbosa; and her siblings, Alberto Pires, Maria Zinh Pires, Lucia Pires and Maria Santa Pires. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and many other relatives.
