She was predeceased by: her son Thomas Jay Ferguson; and her siblings, George Washington Williams, Catherine Suddreth, Bill Scott and Annie Mae Scott.

She is survived by: her spouse Thomas Hopkins; and her children, Barbara Scott, Donald Scott, Tina Scott-Cody, Brenda McMillian, Louis Ferguson, Catherine Louis and Dean Ferguson. She is also survived by four grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
