He was predeceased by: his child Tommy Travers; and his sibling Barbara Gillespie. He is survived by: his husband Helen (Slonina); his children, Debbie Freeman (Jim), Maureen Monagle (Jim) and Joseph Travers, Jr.; his grandchildren, Chris Freeman (Cherisse) and Cameron Monagle; his great grandchild Rory Freeman; and his sibling Robert V. Travers (Mary). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
