She was predeceased by: her parents, James Ferreira and Mary Perault (Medeiros); her son William L. Bates, Jr.; and her sibling Lional Ferreira. She is survived by: her husband William L. Bates, Sr. of Medford; her children, Deborah L. Wallace, Sandra DiMeco (Joseph) of Dracut, Joanne Bates of Dracut and John S. Bates of Everett; her sister Marilyn Riley; and her brother-in-law Joseph Riley, Jr. of Medford. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
