We bid farewell to Gwendoline Nichols of Chicopee, Massachusetts, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 16, 2025 at the age of 85. Gwendoline touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest George and Florence Muriel; her grandsons, Patrick Alan Rud and Johnnie Nichols; her great grandchild Faith Abigail Roux; and her pets, Puffer, Molly and Princess.
She is survived by: her husband Rodger; her children, Beverley Kopec, Gary (Francine Nichols), Susan (Michael Redfern), Steven (Eva Nichols) and Joseph (Melanie Nichols); her grandchildren, Kevin, Jen Nichols, Katie, Luc Roux, Sr., Christopher, Trisha Nichols, Nicholas Rud, Alex Nichols, Bryan Nichols, Matthew, Jill Nichols and Sarah Nichols; her great grandchildren, Benjamin, Brent, Adam, Audrina, Luc, Zachary, Grace, Abel, Christopher, Valerie, Colin, Peyton, Jaxson, Ryan, Charlotte and Tucker; her sisters, Jean and Eileen (Colin Venemore); her nieces, Melissa and Louisa (Brian Mann); and her caregiver Holyoke.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home (2049 Northampton St, Holyoke, MA 01040). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 9:45 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ma Veterans Memorial Cemetery (1390 Main St, Agawam, MA 01001).
