He is survived by: his spouse Carolyn Ruta (Shackett) of Chicopee; his sons, Ken Cotton (Vicki) of Chicopee and Richard Ruta Jr.; his wife Dawn Ruta of Westfield; his daughter Barbara Lauziere (Jeff) of Chicopee; his sister Jane Yiznitsky of West Springfield; his grandchildren, Charlotte Lynch, Candace Ruta, Vanessa Fitzgerald, Rachel, Alyssa Ruta, Jacob and Michael Ruta; his great grandchildren, Penelope, Phoenix and Ava; and also John Ruta (Cheryl) of Westfield.
