He is survived by: his children, Melissa Demerest (Ed) of Hubbardston, Cindi Shaughnessy (Rob Kenda) of Hubbardston, Samantha Houlihan (Mark) of Plainville, Bethani Summers-Hodge (Simon) and Seth Salwa (Kerrie) of Clinton; his grandchildren, Michelle, EJ Shaughnessy, Kay Smith, Abby, Natalie Salwa and Hazel Summers-Hodge; his great grandchild Kaiden Shaughnessy; his sister Sheila Salwa Carman of Ayer; and his former wife Carol LaValley of Clinton.
