It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Hills of Danvers, Massachusetts, born in Beverly, Massachusetts, who passed away on February 23, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband George Benjamin Hills; her parents, Robert L. Cassell and Alice M. Cassell (Choquette); her grandchild Carey Shaffer; and her sister Alice Neal.
She is survived by: her children, Sharron Rowland (John) of Danvers, Georgia Shaffer (Rik) of Danvers, JoAnne Burnett (Terry) of Danvers, Shelya Malerba (Dom) of Danvers, Gary Hills of Campton, N. H. and Jeffrey Hills (Ilene) of Plymouth; her grandchildren, Jonathan, Benjamin, Rebecca, Kristen, Adam, Brittany, Nikki, Alycen and DJ; her sister-in-law Olga Cassell of Peabody; and her siblings, Irene Cavoie, Robert and George Cassell. She is also survived by her 14 great grandchildren.
