She was predeceased by: her husband Lewis A. Spates; her parents, Miles Hunter and Bessie Hunter (Munn); and her son Lewis A. Spates, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Judith Spates of Danvers; and her nephews, Myron Peabody (Carolyn) of Rowley and Bruce Getchell (Carol) of Danvers.
