She was predeceased by: her husband José G. Bento; her parents, Manuel Clara and Maria José Clara (Furtado Carepa); and her grandson Jason B. Leonardo. She is survived by: her children, José M. Bento (Grace Medeiros) of New Bedford, Luis A. Bento (Linda) of São Miguel, Açores, Mariana B. Leonardo (Duarte) of New Bedford, Eduarda Soares (Manuel) of New Bedford, Maria Bento of Florida and Paula A. Bento (James Amaral) of Dartmouth; and her brothers, Manuel Clara (Maria) of Portugal and Luis Clara (Angie) of Dartmouth. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Aubertine-Lopes Funeral Home & Cremation (129 Allen St, New Bedford, MA 02740). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (230 Bonney St, New Bedford, MA 02744).
