He was predeceased by: his father John C. Seay Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Deborah E. Seay of Boston; his wife Christine Seay of Peabody; his daughter Dawanna Moore; his grandchildren, Lauren A. Wadey, Lakeya A. Eason and Lamya A. Dietz of Georgia; his former wife Stacy Bailey; his children, Amir and Ariel Bailey of Stoneham; his sibling's children, Maurice L. Seay II, Devin J. Peters, Alexis J. Seay, Janaya Seay, Devin Seay, Jayson Seay and Jonathan Hunt; and his great-nephew Davien L. Seay.
