It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Stephen McDermott of Dorchester, Massachusetts, who passed away on September 26, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. McDermott and Catherine McDermott (Lee); his brother Peter; and his sister-in-law Sonja Connelly. He is survived by: his wife Christine A. McDermott (Forsberg); his children, Colin McDermott (Chanz McManus) of South Portland and Kate Miller (Caitlyn Miller) of Quincy; his brothers, Frank McDermott of Maine, Mark McDermott of Maine and David McDermott; his siblings-in-law, Roy (Patricia Forsberg) of Scituate and Helen (Frank Federowski) of Maine; and his friend Mary Kate Power of Braintree. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
