He was predeceased by: his brother Lawrence Flanagan (Larry); and his daughter Marie Ingram. He is survived by: his wife Patricia (O'Malley); his grandchildren, Gavin, Jeremiah, Justin, Gregory, Nikki, Colin, Patrick, Moore, Evan, Caroline and Kimberly; and his great grandchildren, Troy and Gavin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in Joseph's name to the Hancock Park Activities Fund, 164 Parkingway St., Quincy, MA, 02169.
