He is survived by: his wife Maria Fernandes Gomes; his children, Orlando, Maria "Maya", Joaquin, Hilario "Lalo", Jose, Luisa, Bethy, Manuela, Nella, Raulina "Nuna" and Andre "Antonio" Gomes; and his granddaughter Alexandra. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, other relatives and friends.
