She was predeceased by: her parents, Matilde Monteiro Fontes and Joaquim Vieira Fontes; her husband Manuel Veiga; her daughter Maria Zilda Monteiro; and her brother Eduardo Joaquim Fontes.
She is survived by: her children, Pedro Veiga of Brockton, Amaral Veiga of Randolph, Alcides Veiga of Whitman, Manuel Veiga Jr. of Randolph and Gilda Lobo of Randolph; and her siblings, Jose Santos Fontes, Joaquim Batencourt Fontes, Catarina Fontes Veiga, Pedro Vieira Fontes, Marcelino Vieira Fontes, Antonio Vieria Fontes and Aguinildo Vieira Fontes. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In keeping with the Covid-19 guidelines, which include face coverings, social distancing and wait times in line due to temporary limited capacity, relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, November 19th from 5:00 – 9:00 PM at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 North Main St. (RT. 28), Randolph.
