He was predeceased by: his parents, Ocie Lee Nicholson and Essig Curry Nicholson Sr.; and his brothers, Essig C. Nicholson Jr. and William "Nick" Nicholson. He is survived by: his wife Francine; his children, Cynthia Jones (Noah), Mark Nicholson Jr and Samantha Nicholson; his grandson Christian Jones; his siblings, Arthur Stokes (Betty), Carson Stokes, Larry Stokes (Denise), Ronald Stokes (Juanita), Lottie Conley, Pearline Cherry (Eddie), Marionetta Keeler (Roderick), Ella Twitty (Shade), Phyllis Bennett (Marcus), Barbara Nicholson and Denise Nicholson; and his significant other Tigger. He is also survived by nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
