He is survived by: his parents, Charles Francis and Reinoldy Burgess (Rhomberg); his children, Rena, Jose Maldonado of Londonderry, NH, Thomas Burgess, Jr., Suzan Bennison of Wells, ME, William, Leslie Burgess of Matamata, Theresa, Dennis Gagnon of Barnstead, NH, David, Andrea Burgess of Dracut, MA, Cheryl, Steve Clark of Durham, NH, Daniel and Molly Burgess of Stowe, VT; and his grandchildren, William Burgess, Jr. of Burgess Farm and Sabre Strout. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
