He was predeceased by: his wife Maria G. Martins (Pereira); his parents, Jose O. Martins and Maria (Elias) of Jesus; and his siblings, David Martins, Graciomilde Cabral, Filomena Couto, Daciel Oliveira and Gilbert Martins.
He is survived by: his son Louis Martins (Margarida) of East Freetown; his brother Jose Martins; his grandchildren, Tyler (Cristina) and Sara; and his great grandchild Oliver. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
