He was predeceased by: his father Roberto Ortiz; and his former wife Vilma Rivera Ortiz. He is survived by: his mother Aida Luz Beltrán Ortiz of Chicopee; his children, Jessica Lee Ortiz of Holyoke and Justin Michael Ortiz of Springfield; his siblings, Roberto Ortiz Jr. of Springfield, Felix Ortiz of New York, Jacqueline Penalbert, Diana Ortiz-Billups, Rosa Ortiz and Pamela Ortiz; his grandchildren, Aubrey, Anastasia, Jayliani, Aria, Logan and Oakley; his close friend Marilyn Prendergast; Zachary Prendergast, Ethan Prendergast and Elijah Prendergast.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home & Cremation Tribute Center (1858 Allen St, Springfield, MA 01118). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
