Donald Hartling Foster Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Hartling Foster of East Sandwich, Massachusetts, who passed away on August 8, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brother David Foster of Gilbert, AZ; his stepson Daniel Booth of Sandwich, MA; his grandson James Robert Schoen (JR) of Darien, CT; and his friend Marley. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Foster (Luther); his sister Marion Foster of Gilbert, AZ; his children, Joan Evans (Bob) of Needham, MA, Sharon Schoen (Jim) of Darien, CT and Tom Foster (Janet) of Conifer, CO; his stepchildren, Dale Michaud (Ron) of Medway, MA, Dianne Booth of Abington, MA and Holly Dupre (Guy) of Fairhaven, MA.; and his grandchildren, Sam Evans of Washington, DC, Greg Evans of San Francisco, CA, Rose Evans of Boise, ID, Adeline Schoen of Somerville, MA, Keane Schoen of Darien, CT, Adam Pichette (Victoria) of Hopedale, MA, Kathryn Pichette of Medway, MA, Abigail Booth of New London, CT and Daniel Booth (DJ) of Phoenix, AZ. He is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home (154 MA-6A, Sandwich, MA 02563). A burial will be held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Oak Grove Cemetery (46 Jones Rd, Falmouth, MA 02540). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the West Parish of Barnstable Meetinghouse (2049 Meetinghouse Way, West Barnstable, MA 02668).
