She was predeceased by: her spouse Joao Viveiros Alves Fernandes; her parent Joao Machado; and her brother Manuel Sousa. She is survived by: her parent Escolastica Machado (Cabral); her children, Maria Victoria Raposo (Octavio) of Fall River, Maria Escolastica Cordeiro (late Tobias Cordeiro) of Fall River and Manuel Sousa Fernandes (Constantina) of Canada; and her sister Maria Matias of New Bedford. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
