He was predeceased by: his parent Amelia Amaral (Pitera). He is survived by: his parent Antone Amaral of Birch Street; his wife Jeanne M. Amaral (Thornton); his children, Donna Marie Monaghan of Pennsylvania, Kenneth Amaral and Jeffery Amaral of Arizona; and his brother Robert Amaral.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to The Jimmy Fund at Dana- Farber Cancer Institute (danafabergiving.org).
