He was predeceased by: his parent Theophile DuPonte; his stepparent Maria DuPonte (Medeiros); his spouse Delores DuPonte (Camara); his child Gwendolyn Thibault; his grandchild Timothy DuPonte; and his sibling Antonio DePonte.

He is survived by: his parent Evangelina DuPonte (Moniz); his children, Robert DuPonte (Nancy) of Tiverton, Paula Fernandes (Richard) of Tiverton, Retired Master Sgt and Glenn A. DuPonte (Sarah); his brother John DuPonte of Tiverton; his grandchildren, Scott DuPonte, Ryan DeCosta, Jason Thibault, Andrew DuPonte, Lindsey Fernandes, Taylor Fernandes and Luke DuPonte; his great grandchildren, Jorja Brown, James DuPonte, Emma DuPonte and Mia DeCosta; and his siblings, Manuel, Jesse and Theophile Jr.. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
