He was predeceased by: his spouse Mary-Jane Mercier (Roy); and his parent Adelard Mercier. He is survived by: his parent Marie Louise Mercier (Bergeron); his sons, George Mercier Jr. of Worcester and Mike Mercier (Marge) of New York; and his siblings, Alfred Mercier, Robert Mercier, Jean Cadieux, Gertrude Janelle and Rita Lussier.
