He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose T. Sousa and Analia Sousa (Gervasio); and his sibling Carlos Sousa. He is survived by: his spouse Cecilia Teixeira (Ferreira); his sons, Joshua Teixeira (Johnetta Pearson) and Joey Teixeira of Fall River; his stepchildren, Helen Ponte-Rego (Roland) of Fall River and John Ponte (Gretchen) of Middleboro; and his siblings, Agueda Correira of Fall River, Marianna Antonio of New Jersey, Antonio Sousa of Somerset and Helena Toste of Terceira, Açores. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
