She was predeceased by: her son Stephen F. DeCosta; and her sister Rose Marie Elias. She is survived by: her children, Judith G. Martin, Margaret S. "Peggy" Mendonca, Kenneth R. DeCosta of Fall River, Richard D. DeCosta of Fall River, Stanley P. DeCosta and Donald G. DeCosta; and her siblings, Doris Thomas, Jules Ferreira and Francis Ferreira. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
