She was predeceased by: her parent Manuel F.; her child Louis Fernandes; and her sibling Francisca Sousa. She is survived by: her parent Maria; her children, Manuel F. Fernandes of Westport and Mary-Jo Norman of North Carolina; her siblings, Manuel F. Mateus, Francisco Mateus, Jose Mateus, Joao Mateus, Serafim Mateus, Conceicao Camara, Guilhermina Mateus, Luis Mateus and Francisca Mateus; and also Anjos Mateus (Medeiros). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
