He was predeceased by: his parent Ernest Barboza; and his sibling Ernest "Barney" Barboza. He is survived by: his spouse Lorraine Barboza (Ferreira) of Fall River; his parent Agnes Barboza (Mello); his children, Robert A. Barboza, Paul M. Barboza and Dorothy Ann Barboza of Fall River; his grandchildren, Alex, Laura, Ayden and Kaley; and his sibling Dorothy Barboza.
