She was predeceased by: her child Steven Alves; her grandchild Curtis Schofield; her parent Raoul Desruisseaux; and also Charles W. Alves. She is survived by: her spouse Humberto Barboza; her children, Robert Alves (Lois), Charlene Gammiero (Gary) of New Bedford, Sandra Langlois (Michael) of Westport and Julie Goyette (Wayne) of Fall River; her grandchildren, Lori DeSousa, Robert Alves, Jr., Ian Janson, Jacob Janson, Brent Pizzo, Shawn Langlois, Austin Langlois and Chase Goyette; her siblings, Doris Doane (Darryl) of Fall River and Philippe Desruisseaux (Marge) of Florida; her son-in-law Mark Janson of Swansea; her child Cynthia Janson; and her parent Leona Desruisseaux (Pichette).
