He was predeceased by: his parent Henry J. Messier; and his sibling Rosalie Messier. He is survived by: his spouse Pauline Messier (Beauregard); his parent Mary Messier (OBrien); his children, Robert A. Messier, Jr. of Westport, John P. Messier (Lisa) of Somerset and Lisa Marie Benevides (Edward) of Fall River; his grandchildren, Nicholas Messier, Nicole Messier, Stephanie Benevides and Eddie Benevides; and his great grandchildren, Jayla Moniz and Marissa Moniz.
